The Chaos In Healthcare. Debate is now raging throughout America about our healthcare and medical insurance systems. The Obama Administration and the Congress are expected to propose legislative and policy reforms that will greatly expand and change the role of government in the healthcare arena. These sectors of our economy are huge; estimated to be 1/6 or almost 17% of the American economy. There is a consensus that chaos exists in the areas of healthcare and health insurance but it is a peculiar chaos. By many measures these sectors are doing very well; almost 85% of Americans are covered by some kind of health insurance and the actual delivery of health care to patients throughout the United States for the most part is effective and far reaching. The Senior Stoner I

Sunday ..."for there's something in a Sunday makes a body feel alone" probably misquoted from Jerry Jeff Walker Welll,  I wasn't sure about feeling alone but it was definitely Sunday so the tune seemed right. I just had a cup of Irish Butter Coffee, my take on Bulletproof or Butter Coffee which I have been hearing a bit of a buzz about of late. My take is pure Kerrygold Irish Butter and Organic Coconut Oil and Organic Coffee, a dark roast from Peru. Prep time is 2-3 minutes per cup, I am drinking my second. It's delicious and has a nice awake buzz to it, more than the usual blast from a cup or two of coffee. Speaking of a buzz, Thursday afternoon, I dropped into the office in Inglewood; gotta stay out of there. Little John the Christian Egyptian was there and for $20.fixed me up with a nice little bag of pot. The Chaos of Hunger By James McDonough The allocation of scarce resources to satisfy the seemingly insatiable needs of the people has been a challenge for societies since people started hanging out together. One would think that we could have gotten pretty good at Economic Systems by now but no such luck---sadly the economics of chaos still seems to rule. The most glaring failure of the current age is starvation. Put these two facts side by side: Thousands of our fellow humans starve to death every year. Yet, in the United States, obesity is one of our major health problems. Obviously, we have a system here of chaos. The Chaos of Death instead of plenty. We could, and in fact we do, grow enough food to feed the world.
